Scigliano’s Market closed earlier this week for a remodel. There will be a new name and owner when it re-opens. It’s sad that Chris did not get enough support from the local community to keep it going under the current format. Please support your local Mom and Pop shops. They are the heart of our country and give back more to their local community than any Corporation or Chain Business.
The Farmer’s Market picks back up tomorrow after taking January off. Stop by Park Square for some great food and crafts. Good way to spend the morning waiting for the big game Sunday night. Might even find some good food for your party. The Market will be 9-2.

The MOMS Club of Lithia-Bevis is having an awesome fundraiser in support of Pediatric MS. The 2nd Annual Fishhawk Comedy Night is going to held at the Palmetto Club Feb. 9. In order to make it an even bigger success than the first one, we are asking our local businesses and neighbors to help out. The County is planning on an expansion of the FishHawk Sports Complex. These plans include 5 more soccer fields and a library. A resident of Fishhawk has created a website that has the details of the expansion and has the recording of the last meeting with the county.

A cold front moved through the area this morning and the temps are going to drop tonight after the sun goes down. There is a freeze warning for Tuesday night, into Wednesday morning. Temps will be in the 20s. Make sure you wrap any exterior pipes and have your pool pumps running. Good news is, it’s Florida and will warm back up for the weekend.
